• Cory has been climbing all over the East Coast since 2013 and moved to Vegas in 2023 for the dream of year-round climbing. Shortly after, he joined the SNCC and has been pushing forward climbing initiatives. You can find Cory on everything from long, adventurous trad routes, sport cragging, plumbers crack, and everything in between! He is looking forward to continuing the important work the SNCC has been doing long before he arrived.

  • Xavier is a 29-year climber in Southern Nevada and a 46-year resident who enjoys serving the climbing community in whatever way possible. He has been a past President and board member and looks forward to serving, whether that's participating in community projects, helping to organize events, or assisting in navigating the issues facing climbers in Southern Nevada today.

  • Jorge is a long-time SNCC Board Member. We’re grateful to have his passion, knowledge, and dedication to his climbing community on the board.

  • Thomas began climbing in 2011 at the Red River Gorge, KY and has been calling Las Vegas his semi-permanent home since 2019. He is a local climbing guide and route developer. His safety focused, attention to detail mindset that he acquired from guiding, combined with a masochistic tendency for route development, has led him to the even more masochistic world of replacing outdated climbing hardware. He takes pride in the work that he accomplishes and with the help of the local rebolting crew, he plans to leave a trail of rusty hardware in his dust.

  • Lisa has been climbing since she was a toddler! This Vegas-born teacher wants to advocate for our climbing areas with increased partnerships with other great organizations and help with projects that help protect and maintain our desert crags.

  • River is originally from Texas and moved to Vegas in 2017. She has been climbing for about 10 years. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and conservation and is excited to advocate for expanded access to our climbing areas while also preserving them for future generations.

  • Monica treasures her outdoor experiences and wants to serve our community which has deeply enriched her life. As a graphic designer who works in the athletic apparel industry and has worked with environmental protection organizations, she is well-suited to the role of Social Media Coordinator. She helps to serve our community by providing increased digital communications to locals and visitors alike, with a sense of humor of course.

  • Luke first visited Red Rock in 2018 and was immediately hooked. After a couple of years and a number of trips out, he moved to Vegas and has continued to grow more passionate about the land and the community since then. Luke is a volunteer regional admin for the Southern Nevada area of Mountain Project and helps to develop and maintain crags in Red Rock. He is always looking for new ways to give back so that others can continue to enjoy climbing as much as he has. As a member of the SNCC, he uses his decade of experience as a software engineer to contribute to the digital capabilities of the group.

  • Like many of you, Ray spends his free time exploring all the amazing climbing that Southern Nevada offers. Having lived in Las Vegas for the past 3 years, he has naturally spent lots of time not climbing - waiting in line for routes, trying to park at Mt Charleston with some Tesla managing to take up three spots, getting flat tires on beat up roads out at Potosi, or cleaning up dog poop from trails in Kraft. With the inevitable growth of climbing and recreation in the area, he understands these issues don’t have simple fixes but is passionate about how we can make this better. He wants to make sure we support growth in access to existing and new climbing areas, make sure route developers are supported, bring more visibility to the work of the SNCC, and make it easier to get involved. He has been climbing for over 10 years, an Access Fund member since 2015, and a strong supporter of the ASCA and RRGCC.

  • Merritt and Nikki have been climbing together for over 25 years and love spending time in Red Rocks whenever they can, accompanied by their trusty sidekick, WonderDog. In addition to their love for climbing, they bring a wealth of event-planning experience to the table. They are excited to support and bring that experience to SNCC, helping to create events that connect climbers socially and strengthen our community.

  • Joey has been living and climbing in Las Vegas for the last 15 years. After many years of being an active SNCC member and volunteering for trail days, he is excited to be getting more involved with the board at a time when there is so much critical work to be done to protect access to our treasured local climbing areas. From the storm-damage-induced crag closures on Mt Charleston to the impending BLM Climbing Management Plan for Red Rock Canyon, he believes that support for the SNCC is more critical now than ever. He is working with the Forest Service in this new dedicated liaison position focused on the Mt Charleston area to preserve and protect what is North America's premier limestone sport climbing destination.

  • Annie came to climb in the Red Rock Canyon NCA for the first time in 2018. She kept finding herself back here every year, each time a little longer than the last, until she started to call it home.  For Annie, it is hard to say whether the climbing or the people here that have her hooked, since both go hand in hand.  Through this liaison role, she aims to provide the climbing community with visibility into BLM-related topics, to ensure that individual climbers and the community as a whole have the opportunity to share their input on these matters, and to help foster a cooperative relationship between climbers and local land managers in our mutual goal of caring for the land we all love.

  • Josh has been guiding for Red Rock Climbing Guides for five years. He is passionate about LNT and keeping those wagbag stations filled.

  • Austin, also known as "The Climbing Realtor," has had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and commitment to community stewardship which drives his desire to be actively involved. Since his childhood, he has been deeply connected to nature, and upon arriving in Vegas in 2016, the thriving rock climbing scene and community captivated him. Transitioning from wildland firefighting to real estate allowed him to channel his focus into being more present in Vegas and contributing to our community.

  • Dave has served as a board member at-large with a focus on partnerships and events for the past two years. He has been a Las Vegas resident for 15 years and loves sharing his passion for climbing with people of all skills and backgrounds.  His role has allowed him to continue to grow our footprint in the community through events and partnerships that bring awareness to climbing, outdoor recreation, and environmental stewardship. He is dedicated to ensuring our outdoor spaces are protected for future use, while continuing to build a strong and more transparent relationship with our local government agencies that manage our local areas and open land in Southern Nevada.

  • Andy moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1997 from western New York, with his family and immediately started hiking around Red Rock. Though he experienced climbing for the first time at a summer camp climbing wall, it wasn't until climbing the boulders at Red Spring that outdoor climbing sparked a serious interest. Andy has been climbing in Red Rock for 21 years, the last 17 of those primarily focusing on bouldering. After being a part of the community for so long he felt the time has finally arrived to play a bigger role in helping the areas he has recreated in for many years.
